First grade back (finally). A- in research methods. I ain’t mad at it

My professors have until tomorrow night at 11:30 pm to enter their grades. Which means by the time I get off work I could potentially have grades up.

Excellent

• Finished my first year of grad school. I think I can handle another year and change of this. Just waiting to get my grades back (and if I get a 4.0 I get to drive my Dad’s Corvette, so send some vibes my way will ya?)
• Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum. Great game. Did justice to a character who (ironically) had been getting no justice done him since the SNES. Probably gonna pick up Arkham City next week, and will spend the time between now and (most likely) Wednesday watching the trailer for the latest, Arkham Origins and marveling at the footwork in that fight scene
• Had a bunch of beer and a cheeseburger. Mmmmmmm

Got a “call” (it was a recording) from the CEO of Chegg this morning at 10:15 to remind me to return my books/tell me how awesome summer is. 

You call me before noon again on some bullshit like this and I’m gonna include a Ziploc of dog shit when I return my books bruh. You don’t got it like that.

Just emailed my final paper in. Gonna hand in the hard copy tomorrow and sit through that class for the last time. Then on Tuesday I just have to hand in another paper and take a final and I’m done with my first year of grad school. I’ll be sure to make a post-year-one writeup at some point. Probably after I sleep for four days.

Woohoo!

• Finish this gotdamn essay
• Finish my take home final
• Fuck around and/or drink beer

Did four pages or so in about three hours (doing all the research as well as the actual writing; usually I have at least some of the research done beforehand and I’m just looking through the sources to back up my points, which makes the writing go much more quickly). I have all day tomorrow to write the remaining six, which I will do, and then have a celebratory beer (or two) before starting my take home final, which will also be finished before Saturday. That leaves Monday morning to study for my final on Tuesday.

And it was open book so I know for a fact I killed it. And I got back my paper from that class and I got an A sooooooo I’m feelin’ good. 

The quest for a 4.0/to shut my mother up about her 3.96 already has begun anew

• Finished BioShock Infinite before work. Great game. Need something new to involve muh thinkin’ brain in. I was thinking Deus Ex but I feel like that’s more of a rent than buy situation. I’ll figure something out. Maybe Mass Effect?
• Did a ton of deliveries. Climbed a bunch of stairs. The village needs some gotdamn elevators installed (but until then, cardio, amirite?)
• On the way back from a delivery, crazy drunk white guy attempted to kick me off my bike as I went by, and made “pew pew” shooting noises with his mouth as he threw the kick. I avoided him and stopped a few feet away and told him that if he’s gonna do that, to make sure he kills me, because if I get back up, he’s fucked. He sorta stumbled backwards away from me and I kept on biking back to the restaurant. I seem to attract fucking idiots
• Speaking of attracting certain types, I may attract girls with boyfriends. May have been flirted at by a chick with a man (I delivered to the apartment, and the Seamless ticket was registered under a dude’s name, but this chick answered the door, so I dunno). Also caught this other chick checking me out on the train, pretending to sleep, with her boyfriend asleep next to her. I mean I guess she could’ve just been sneakily having an internal laugh at something on my face (or the fact that I was eating frozen yogurt), but chea
• Gonna print my essay that’s due tomorrow and then I’m gonna sleep and it’s gonna be great

1. Find something to eat. There’s this hippy organic place down the street and I’m just hungry enough to give it a try
2. Get a lot done on this essay. I have the book, there doesn’t need to be citations, it’s like 13 pages double spaced, and due Monday. The only other day this week I’m gonna have a significant chunk of time to do it is Saturday (my only other day off this week; I can try to get some done before my night shifts/after my day shifts but I’m gonna want/need to sleep during those times haha)
